The Declaration Act Action Plan [PDF, 3.8MB] (action plan) was released in 2022 and was created in partnership with Indigenous Peoples. The Province is required to review and update the action plan to ensure its continued alignment with the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples and the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act.
The action plan review will occur from February 2026 to June 2026. For the action plan review, we want to hear from:
- Indigenous Peoples (First Nations, Métis, Inuit)
- Indigenous partners and organizations
- Stakeholders involved in developing or implementing the current Action Plan
Please take the survey and share your thoughts on the action plan.
Your input on the action plan will help inform updates to the action plan for 2027. This survey is being used to gather feedback on the impact of the current action plan and will be complemented by other engagement opportunities.
Depending on your responses, the survey will take about 10 minutes to complete. We recommend reviewing the Declaration Act Action Plan [PDF, 3.8MB] before completing this survey.
The survey will be closed for feedback on June 10, 2026 at 4:00 pm.
An action plan review summary will be shared on the Declaration Act Action Plan engagement website in Fall 2026.
