Lived Experience and Social Sector Engagement

Thank you for your interest in registering for engagement sessions to support the Child and Family Service Legislative Reform. These engagement sessions are virtual and will take place over Zoom.

Please note that these sessions are intended for people with lived experience of the child and family service system, as well as community and social sector advocates and organizations. Sessions for individuals and organizations will be offered separately from one another.

Someone with lived experience might be, but is not limited to:
•    Someone who is or was involved with the child and family service system as a child or youth,
•    A family member of someone who is or was involved with the child and family service system as a child or youth,
•    Someone who received services from the Ministry of Children and Family Development or a Delegated Aboriginal Agency; and,
•    A foster parent, guardian, or kinship caregiver

Please be aware that Indigenous facilitator, Alderhill Planning, will host Indigenous engagement sessions, providing support and assistance to create safe sessions for Indigenous participants. If you are an Indigenous individual or organization and would feel more comfortable sharing your experiences in this setting, we encourage you to register on this page.
