The Province is conducting an independent review of CleanBC programs to ensure they are effectively reducing climate pollution, while making life more affordable and supporting a strong economy.
CleanBC is B.C.’s road map for cutting climate pollution and building a cleaner, more sustainable future. It has helped people and businesses switch to cleaner energy, supported industrial decarbonization and expanded access to electric vehicles and renewable power. For more information on B.C.’s progress and actions, please see the most recent Climate Change Accountability Report (PDF, 3MB).
Independent climate experts Merran Smith and Dan Woynillowicz are leading the review. They will look at how well current programs and policies are working, check B.C.’s climate targets, and suggest ways to improve. As part of their work, they will engage with the public, Indigenous Peoples, local governments, the Climate Solutions Council, industry and stakeholders throughout B.C.
The Terms of Reference for the review include a commitment to public engagement, and the panel is now asking for your feedback. This survey is your opportunity to share your ideas for provincial climate targets, policies and programs.
